Get back to nature at outdoors-oriented day of fun

Explore the Trinty River via canoe during Nature Con.

Enjoy a day outdoor activities, exploration and conservation during the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge’s inaugural Nature Con…servation, scheduled for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 27.

Activities begin with a 3½-mile fun run to Greer Island, followed by guided hikes, hayrides and canoe rides on the Trinity River. Grab a meal at one of the food trucks and wrap up the day assisting with the BioBlitz, a nationwide contest documenting all forms of nature using the i-Naturalist app.

General admission prices include entrance into the park, access to the festival and free activities. Presale admission tickets are available at 817-392-7410 or register online for the fun run. Cost to participate in the run is $15 per person ($10 per person for a group of five or more registering together).

The Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge is at 9601 Fossil Ridge Road.
